Roma Flaminia

When we started designing this garden with Laura Einaudi, many years ago, there were only very old tall pine trees on a lawn. We introduced smaller scale elements by planting mature olive trees and creating large Pistacia lentiscus topiary “islands”.

It's hard to believe that this garden is within the city of Rome, but the city’s 60’s planning has provided green wedges of natural landscape bringing the countryside well into the city.

We have now started working on completing the remaining parts of the garden, including a sloped section with distant views of S.Peter’s Basilica.
